Why Hire a Licensed Electrician?

Unfortunately, the most common cause of electrical fires in homes is due to faulty wiring and misuse of extension cords. All too often, when the cause of the fire is investigated, it’s found that the failure is due to undersized breaker panels, overloaded circuits, outdated wiring, and various other items that do not meet the electrical safety code requirements. Think about it – If your home is more than 15 years old, the electrical wiring and panels probably were not designed to handle multiple big-screen TVs, entertainment systems, security systems, iPads, chargers, and all the appliances we now use in our daily life, without any thought. What’s even worse, if your house burns down and the investigators determine that the cause was due to unlicensed electrical work, your insurance may not cover your loss.

Assurance Electrical Is Licensed & Insured

Kenneth, the owner of Assurance Electrical LLC, began his career as an apprentice in 1987, quickly graduated to a licensed journeyman electrician, and later passed the master’s exam. Receiving the designation as a “Master Electrician,” is the highest level of competency given in the electrical trade. Master Electricians are at the top of their field. It takes many years of working within the electrical trade to be qualified to take the comprehensive Master’s examination. Master electricians have the experience and the expertise to install, maintain, and repair some of the most complex residential and commercial electrical systems.

In addition to training, electricians must be licensed by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. A certified electrical contractor is one who has passed the state’s licensing examination allowing him to work anywhere within the State of Florida. A registered contractor however, is only certified by a local county or municipality only and can only work in the counties or municipalities where they hold a local license.
